The <br />AMM was very successful from a lobbying standpoint during the <br />last two sessions by focusing most of our time and energies on <br />a selected number of highly important issues. <br />5. METROPOLITAN APPOINTMENT'S REVIEW COMMITTEE: <br />As recommended by the Mission and Membership Services Task <br />Force and discussed at the November Policy Adoption Meeting, <br />the Board is moving forward with the concept of an Appointments <br />M«viev Committee to evaluate candidates for the Metropolitan <br />Council and other Metropolitan Agencies. The Board will be <br />inviting other organizations such as the Metropolitan Inter <br />County Association, Citizens League and Metropolitan Area <br />Leagues of Women Voters to join in the effort. Gloria <br />Vierling, Board member and Shakopee Councilmember, has been <br />appointed by the Board to Chair this committee.
