Minutes <br />City Council Regular Meeting <br />Monday, February 10, 2025, 6:00 PM <br />City Council Chambers 2780 Kelley Parkway, Orono, MN 55356 <br />Mayor Tunheim called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m., followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Orono City Council members present: Mayor Bob Tunheim, City Council Members Alisa Benson, Steve <br />Persian, Jacqueline Ricks and Claire Berrett. Members absent: None <br />Staff present were City Attorney Soren Mattick, City Administrator/Engineer Adam Edwards, and Parks <br />Superintendent Joe Ruthenberg. <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />Benson moved, Ricks seconded, to approve the Agenda as submitted. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />1. City Council Minutes <br />2. Claims/Bills <br />3. Work Session Schedule <br />4. Donation to Lurton Dog Park - Resolution 7553 <br />5. Planning Commission Appointments — Resolution 7555 <br />6. Accept Resignation of Police Officer <br />7. Technology Improvements to the Police Department <br />8. Safety Improvements to the Police Department <br />9. Architecture Design for Public Works Commodities Yard (24-035) <br />This item was removed from the Consent Agenda <br />Berrett moved, Benson seconded, to approve the Consent Agenda with item 9 removed. VOTE: <br />Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />Jay Nygard for Kendall Nygard, 1386 Rest Point Rd; Nancy Brantingham, 3185 County Road 6; Holly <br />Wellman, 105 Oak St.; Janie Delaney, 1315 Woodhill Ave.; Kelly Prchal 705 Watertown Rd; Ritchie <br />Anderson, 3205 Crystal Bay Rd.; Jay Nygard, 1386 Rest Point Rd; and Kelly Grady, Long Lake; <br />provided comments. <br />9. Architecture Design for Public Works Commodities Yard (24-035) <br />Edwards explained this item is for the design portion of commodities (such as salt) storage for the public <br />works building. <br />Ricks noted the City is looking at moving in a different direction for a less expensive structure than <br />originally planned. <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
