Box 66 <br />Crystal Bay, Minnesota <br />Re: Landstar <br />Dear Jeanne: <br />Soon, City staff will be preparing recommendations for Landstar's <br />participation in the overlay to be done on Old Beach Road. <br />Previously, the City had scheduled thi.^ work to be done and had <br />already budgeted the item without any contribution from us or other <br />adjoining land owners. It's also my understanding that the City <br />was considering a one and one-half inch overlay. I would like to <br />address the issue of the work itself, as well as the extent of my <br />client's financial participation. <br />I have very little background in specifications for road work, but <br />one of the employees of my client tells me that he feels a two-inch <br />overlay would cost only slightly more than a one and one-half inch <br />overlay, but the end product might be significantly better. If <br />that is true, in keeping with my client's spirit of doing a quality <br />development, we would like to recommend a two-inch overlay. <br />Secondly, I would like to express my client's thoughts regarding <br />its financial participation in the road work. Because, early in <br />our discussions with you, there was some talk of our participation <br />in this cost, we are willing to do so, but we would like two <br />factors taken into consideration. The first factor which I have <br />alluded to previously, is that the city was going to do the overlay <br />Ms. Jeanne Mabusth
