Zoning File #1555 <br />October 5, 1990 <br />Page 3 of 5 <br />Sewer & Water - <br />In reviewing Exhibit N, note that the water main expansion <br />through Minnnetonka Beach now connects to the Lafayette Ridge <br />water line to the north, providing a loop system. This was <br />requested by the City Engineer, Glenn Cook, The applicant's <br />atto'-nev advised at the City of Minnetonka Beach meeting that the <br />Public Works Director noted that such a line d^es not exist in <br />Lafayette Ridge. The City Engineer will be asked to clarify this <br />point. Throughout the review, both the Public Works Director and <br />the City Engineer have asked for the looping system with <br />Lafayette Ridge line. <br />The sewer line has been amended by moving manhole #3 along <br />the shared lot lines of Lots 5 and 6. Please note the severe <br />topographical problems if sewer line was to be extended alon<;, <br />public roadway, the City has agreed to allow the exter <br />municipal lines to be placed along shared lot lines (Lots ‘ <br />and 8). The City will ask for 20* wide easemen • 10* on eith <br />side of the lot lines to provide adequate acces- aiea for serving <br />system. Although not pertinent vc ocs City', review, manhole #8 <br />has been realigned and moved ac-uth to th 3 936 elevation as <br />vequested by Glenn Cook. With the installation of Lift Station <br />I? approximately 4-5 years ago, there is adequate cap. sity in the <br />,*fiv»ar lines to serve the proposed Jsvelopment. The developer will be asked to share the <br />cost of this improvement. It may also b. appropriate to work <br />with the City of Minnetonka Beach regarding a comprehensive <br />upgrading of the road.
