Cogbill a�id Jennifer A. Cogbill, husband and wife <br /> (hereinafter "the applicants") are the owners of the property located at 1590 Long Lake � <br /> Boule�ard within the City of Orono (hereinafter the"City") and legally described as follows: <br /> Lot 12, Block 1, JOHNSTONS REARRANGEMENT OF ALBEES LONG <br /> LAKE ADDITION Hennepin County, Minnesota (hereinafter the "property"); <br /> and � � <br /> • ave made a lication to the Cit of Orono for a <br /> WHEREAS, the applicants h pp y <br /> variance to Orono Municipal Zoning Code Section 305 Subdivision B to allow a side yard <br /> setback of 21' where 30' is normally required�in order to construct a wider staircase to the <br /> basement in their existing home. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br /> Minnesota: <br /> ' FINDINGS � . <br /> 1. This application was reviewed as Zoning File 07-3253. � <br /> ' 2. The property is located in the LR — lA, Lakeshore Residential Zoning District <br /> which requires a minimum lot area of 2.0 acres and a minimum lot width of 200'. <br /> � . 3. The Planning Commission reviewed this application at a public hearing held on � <br /> January 16, 2007 and recommended approval of a variance to allow a 22.5'side <br /> setback based on the following findings: � � <br /> . a. The property contains 21,403 s.f. in area and has 50' in width at the street and <br /> 69' in width at the 50'principal structure setback. <br /> � <br /> b.
