A RESOLUTION GRANTING VARIANCES TO MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE SECTIONS 78-330, 78-1279 & 78-1288 FILE NO. 06-3189 WHEREAS, Terry R. Johnson & Suzanne Johnson, husband and wife (hereinafter "the applicants") are the owners of the property located at 543 Park Lane within the City of Orono (hereinafter the"City") and legally described as follows: Lot 8, Blocic 6, Minnetonka Summit Park, Hennepin County, Minnesota (hereinafter the"property"); and ' � � WHEREAS, the applicants have made applicatioii to. the City of Orono for a variance to Orono Municipal Zoning Code Section 78-330 to allow construction of a new residence on a property 10,128 s.f. in area and 50' in width where 43,560 s.f. in area and 140' of width are normally required, and to allow an 8.5' side setback for a 7' wide cantilevered portion of the home where a 10' side setback is normally required; and WHEREAS, the applicants have made application to the City of Orono for a variance to Orono Municipal Zoning Code Section 78-1279 to allow the proposed new residence to encroach 17' uito the average lakeshore setback; a�zd WHEREAS, the applicants have made application to the City of Orono for a variance to Orono Municipal Zoning Code Section 78-1288 to allow 248 s.f. of hardcover within the 0 -75' zone where 0 s.f. is nonnally allowed, and 2,960 s.f. or 47.1% hardcover within the 75' — 250' zone where 1,570 s.f. or 25% is normally allowed in conjunction with the construction of a new residence and to allow existing lake access stair and retaining wall to remain.
