Johnson & Suzanne Johnson, husband and wife <br /> (hereinafter "the applicants") are the owners of the property located at 543 Park Lane within the <br /> City of Orono (hereinafter the"City") and legally described as follows: <br /> Lot 8, Blocic 6, Minnetonka Summit Park, Hennepin County, Minnesota <br /> (hereinafter the"property"); and ' � <br /> � WHEREAS, the applicants have made applicatioii to. the City of Orono for a <br /> variance to Orono Municipal Zoning Code Section 78-330 to allow construction of a new <br /> residence on a property 10,128 s.f. in area and 50' in width where 43,560 s.f. in area and 140' of <br /> width are normally required, and to allow an 8.5' side setback for a 7' wide cantilevered portion <br /> of the home where a 10' side setback is normally required; and <br /> WHEREAS, the applicants have made application to the City of Orono for a <br /> variance to Orono Municipal Zoning Code Section 78-1279 to allow the proposed new residence <br /> to encroach 17' uito the average lakeshore setback; a�zd <br /> WHEREAS, the applicants have made application to the City of Orono for a <br /> variance to Orono Municipal Zoning Code Section 78-1288 to allow 248 s.f. of hardcover within <br /> the 0 -75' zone where 0 s.f. is nonnally allowed, and 2,960 s.f. or 47.1% hardcover within the <br /> 75' — 250' zone where 1,570 s.f. or 25% is normally allowed in conjunction with the <br /> construction of a new residence and to allow existing lake access stair and retaining wall to <br /> remain. <br /> NOW, T'HERE�'ORE BE IT ]t�SOLVEi) by the City Council of Orono, <br /> Minnesota: <br /> FINDINGS <br /> • 1.
