Bernhardson, City Adrainistraton r^TY 0.‘ r*POj^f5 <br />January 3, 1990 <br />SUBJECT: Administrator's Information <br />HIGHWAY 12 CORRIDOR SELECTION STUDY - The City has been apprised <br />ol the fact that Howard Neddies, a consulting firm that has <br />offices nationally, has been selected as the consulting engineer <br />for the corridor study. The selection was based on the <br />experience they have had working with Minnesota Department of <br />Transportation together with their availability to undertake the <br />task during the next year. It is expected that during the next <br />month Mr. )T will be in contact with each of the cities to <br />establish an initial meeting with the consultant. <br />1950 SHORELINE '^RIVE - The final docnments are expected to be <br />signed on this during the next two wt . The Attorney for the <br />property owner was out of town during the holidays, but is <br />expected to have this completed by January 15th. The final date <br />for removal remains June 1, 1991, as it was when the 18 months <br />was agreed upon. <br />1972 SHADYWOOD ROAD - The initial part of the winter had little <br />evidence of the ducks, however, observations by neighbors, the <br />media and CounciImembers together with staff indicate that there <br />is continued feeding on the property and during the next month or <br />so staff will be seeking an injunction regarding this matter. <br />LAKE MINNETONKA/HENNEPIN PARKS LAWSUIT - As you may have noted <br />the lawsuit between Hennepin Parks and Minnetrista on the <br />constitutionality of the "garbage bill" was found in Hennepin <br />Parks favor by the Minnesota Supreme Court during the latter part <br />of December. <br />3536 LYRIC AVENUE - The trial which had been scheduled in <br />December had to be rescheduled because of previous commitments by <br />the Judge. On January 2, 1990, the resident failed to appear <br />although his attorney was present. The Judge revoked his <br />suspended sentence from last February and scheduled a hearing for <br />later this month to allow him to contest the revocation. <br />DARE PROGRAM - Attachment is the schedule for the pilot DARE <br />program in the Orono Schools starting January 23rd. <br />OCTOBER/NOVEMBER TRANSFERS AND DISBURSEMENTS - (See attached) <br />WIRE TRANSFERS - (See attached) <br />GOALS AND OBJECTIVES - (See attached) <br />r 1
