Recommendation Concerning Acquisition of New Telephone System <br />January 4, 1990 <br />Page 2 of ^ <br />Once i*gain, I strongly recommend that you consider <br />electronic phones for the use of the City and I would recommend <br />that you arrange for demonstrations by both Telephone Specialists <br />of the Premier system and Communications World of the Toshiba <br />system. Although I understand Interior Communications has come <br />through with the lowest bid in the revises estimates, I strongly <br />recommend either the Premier or the Toshiba systems because they <br />provide greater versatility, are user friendly, technology <br />reflects a greater state of the arts and a progreun of continuous <br />programming upgrades and additional benefits to consumer. <br />I should also note that the City of Chanhassen, in acquiring <br />their Premier system from Telephone Specialists also sought <br />sir - : e line phones and after a month of use changed from single <br />lin to all electronic phones with combinations of the 12 button <br />display and 8 button units without display. The representatives <br />of the Premier system have also advised that the City of Mound is <br />a.ijo considering the system.
