SPECIFICATIONS <br />PROPOSED ON-SITE SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEM <br />MR. LEE PRIMUS <br />LOT - PART OF PARCEL 2300, SECTION 6, T117, R23 <br />ORONO, MINNESOTA <br />SEPTIC TANK -It is recommended that the system include <br />two septic tanks in series (each at least <br />1000 gallons capacity.) Any new septic tanks <br />shall be installed in accordance with Village <br />Code. <br />DOSING CHAMBER -One 250 gallon capacity dosing chcuober down <br />stream from the septic tank or tanks mem- <br />ufactured cuid installed in compliance with <br />Village Code, including a siphon or pump <br />with a disch2u:ge rate between 25 and 45 gpm. <br />(The purpose of the dosing chamber is to <br />deliver septic effluent to the drainfield <br />in periodic doses, rather than in smaller, <br />more frequent applications.) See Figure 2 <br />for location. <br />DRAINFIELD -For a percolation rate of 36 minutes per <br />inch Village Code requires a minimum of 270 <br />square feet effective drainfield area for <br />each bedroom. <br />Proposed total effective drainfield area is <br />900 square feet. Proposed drainfield trench <br />bottom width is three (3) feet requiring 300 <br />lineal feet of drainfield line. <br />The system is to include three (3) 100 foot <br />lines where shown on Figure 2., These lines <br />are to be laid flat along existing contours. <br />The lines are to be placed ten (10) feet <br />from trees, where necessary trees shall be <br />removed. <br />Effluent is to be carried by a solid 6-inch <br />diameter, plastic pipe directly to the drain- <br />field pipes. All elbows and connecting pipes <br />are solid, 6-inch diameter pipe. The end <br />of each run of drainfield line is capped. <br />Trench details showing materials and install <br />ation are shown in Figure 3. <br />Figures 1 through 3, by reference, are made <br />part of these specifications.
