ARTICLE XXI SICK LEAVE <br />a. ) Each EMPLOYEE shall earn eight (8) hours of sick <br />leave per •~onth. <br />b. ) Each EMPLOYEE shall be allowed to accumulate sick <br />leave up to the maximum amount of nine hundred <br />sixth (960) hours. <br />c. ) In addition any hours over 960 hours accrued shall <br />go into a catastrophic sick leave bir.k which may <br />be used any time the person is sick for more than <br />30 consecutive calendar days. The maximum accrued <br />in this bank is 320 hours and is not useable for <br />severance purposes under Article 27. <br />ARTICLE XXII SEVERANCE PAY <br />Each EMPLOYEE with three (3) year or more of service with <br />the EMPLOYER will receive, upon honorable termination of <br />employment, one-third (1/3) of the EMPLOYEE'S accumulated <br />sick leave as severance pay.
