Mr. Lyle Oman -2- March 24, 1995
City of Orono
Mechanical - Garae
1) Install a new natural gas line from the existing meter at the south end of
the existing greenhouse to the existing garage. Note: Kraus-Anderson
to remove and replace blacktop driveway as needed.
2) Furnish and install (2) 75,000 BTU natural gas fired unit heaters, one
in each corner of the garage near the back wall.
The units will be complete with Class B stacks and line voltage
thermostats.
Mechanical - Greenhouse
1) Install a natural gas line to the (2) Modine propeller unit heaters, which
are furnished and installed by the Rouh Brothers Company.
2) Furnish and install (2) new floor drains and connect the new waste line
to existing floor drain, this waste line will extend back into the existing
mechanical room where waste connection will be made. This new line
will have a vent line extended through the greenhouse roof, an opening
in roof should be provided by Rough Brothers Company. Note: There
would be approximately 30 sq. ft. of concrete for Kraus-Anderson to cut
and patch.
3) Furnish and install (4) frost proof outdoor sillcocks. Two on the west side
and two on the east side of the new greenhouse. No pipe covering on
any water lines.
4) Install a 1/2" water supply to the Rough Brothers Company furnished
and installed 100 gallon sump tank. This line will be protected with a
R.P.Z. valve.
5) Furnish and install (6) cold water faucets (Chicago number 998 with
vacuum breakers). Three on the west wall and three on the east wall.
6) Furnish and install (1) 50,000 BTU natural gas fired unit heater, this
would be necessary to protect the P-trap for the floor drain in the upper
level floor or this would hae to have a heating tape on it. There would
be a 4" Class B chimney run up through the new greenhouse, Rough
Brothers would hae to provide openin in the roof of tne greenhouse
for the stack to pass through. We will furnish a line voltage thermostat,
but Kraus-Anderson's electrical contractor will have to do power and
control wirin.
