Water Structures and Environment Committee July 14, 1990 <br />6. Additional Items <br />1. Reese said he believes the Personal Watercraft Ordinance <br />has had a positive effect on noise. <br />2. Reese commented that he has noticed there is a decrease <br />in purple loosestrife this year. The Executive Director noted he <br />is aware that wetlands now filled with water have diminished its <br />growth. <br />3. The Executive Director reported an apartment complex, <br />Park Hill, did not renew its dock license. It has started <br />putting boats in now that the water is up. The owner has <br />responded that he expects only at ut 12 of the 44 slips for which <br />he is licensed to be used. He dc ^s not wish to pay the full fee. <br />The consensus of the committee is to require the full fee <br />if the docks are used at all. <br />4. The Executive Director reported on a dock use area <br />conflict in Smithtown Bay is under consideration for a variance <br />application. The committee recommended the neighbors continue to <br />work among themselves <br />7.
