LMCD Board of Directors June 27, 1990 <br />5.B.Financial Reports, Treasurer Lewman <br />1) Statement of Cash Transactions <br />Lewman submitted the Statement of Cash <br />Transactions for the month ending 5/31/90 and it was ordered <br />filed. <br />2) Audit of Vouchers for Payment <br />Lewman moved, Rascop seconded, approval of bills in the <br />amount of $38,784.62, checks numbered 6146 through 6227. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Later in the meeting, under the Executive Director’s <br />Report, it was noted Check No. 6213 to Wausau Insurance was <br />billed unclearly and it should be $3,182.00. Lewman moved, <br />Rascop seconded, to void Check No. 6213 and replace it with Check <br />No. 6228 in the amount of $3,182.00 for a final total of <br />$40,375.62. Motion carried unanimously. <br />3) Annual Budget for 1991 <br />Lewman submitted a draft of the 1991 budget along with an <br />explanation of the major changes. He noted the $45,000 grant <br />from the MN DNR is shown as a receipt and as a disbursement to <br />the cities for their costs. This is to facil?tate bookkeeping. <br />Reese said the $60,000 Eurasian Water Milfoil Weed <br />Harvesting Program budget does not reflect an inflation factor. <br />Hurr moved, Rascop seconded, to amend the proposed budget by <br />increasing the EWM expense budget by 5%, for $3,000. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Rascop moved, Martinson seconded, to approve the 1991 <br />budget, as amended, and authorize its submission to the cities. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />D. Executive Director’s Report, Eugene Strommen <br />The Executive Director reported as follows: <br />* A clerical assistant, Aimee Meyer, has been employed <br />to perform E.W.M. clerical duties and assist in bookkeeper and <br />administrative secretaries responsibility during their vacation <br />absence. <br />* Rachel Thibault will join the staff full-time on <br />Monday, July 9, as LMGD’s Administrative Technician. An <br />announcement of her selection was provided to the Board. <br />* Joan Mansk will be on vacation in July. Strommen <br />will take two weeks vacation in August. <br />* Strommen will attend a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers <br />meeting 7-25-90, 2:00 p.m. to 5 p.m., regarding Federal Manual <br />Identifying and Delineating Jurisdictional Wetlands, at the St. <br />Paul campus. - continued <br />J
