Summary of Traffic Analysis Study Dated 6/90 <br />ISSUE - <br />1. Presentation to Council of the final draft plans for the <br />Highway 12 safety improvement. <br />2. Presentation to Council of summary of the traffic study. <br />3. Determination by Council as to action it desires to take. <br />4. Draft resolution for Council's consideration. <br />INTRODUCTION - As noted in Attachment A Council had outlined its <br />concerns regarding the safety improvement which related to a <br />traffic light. Attachment D outlines the traffic analysis that <br />was done which indicates that a traffic signal would be warranted <br />provided development that the traffic analysis is predicated does <br />in fact take place. <br />The full size plan will be available at the Council meeting <br />6/25/90. <br />The only significant change in the plan since reviewed last time <br />is the addition of the traffic light at Willow in the plans. <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />1. Accept the information. <br />2. Request additional information. <br />3. Table for further discussion. <br />4. Adopt resolution. <br />5. Amend and adopt. <br />RECOMMENDATION - Is is recommended that Council adopt the final <br />plans as presented contingent upon traffic light going in as part <br />of the safety improvement. <br />PROPOSED MOTION - Moved by , seconded by _, that Council adopt <br />Resolution # indicating its approval contingent upon the <br />traffic light being placed on Willow in conjunction with this <br />project.
