990-55SS <br />Municipal Members of <br />West Hennepin Human Services Planning Board <br />Suggest criteria for appointing citizens as municipal members of <br />the West Hennepin Human Services Planning Board. <br />1. The individual should live in the municipality they represent. <br />2. He or she should have demonstrated an interest in one or more <br />the human service areas: <br />mental health <br />mental retardation <br />chemical dependency <br />child care <br />refugee needs <br />services for the handi­ <br />capped <br />domestic abuse services <br />medical/health care <br />income assistance/maintenance <br />job training/employment programs <br />child welfare services <br />services for adolescents <br />services for the elderly <br />services to assist low income <br />people <br />3. The appointed member must be willing to: <br />attend board meetings once a month (usually held the <br />first Tuesday of the month, in the evening, and at a <br />community center in the West Suburban area). <br />_ _serve on one committee of their choice. <br />report periodically to their city council about activi- <br />ties of the West Hennepin Human Service Planning Br rd. <br />4. It advocates for tb/. development c rvices when needed and <br />for improved access to servivzes by resident! the area.
