AFMN Grants Funding Areas <br />For this round of Age-Friendly Minnesota Community Grants, Funding Areas are structured to align with <br />Minnesota’s new Multisector Blueprint for Aging. Visit https://blueprint.agefriendlymn.org/for more <br />detail on the domains and strategies. As with previous Community Grants, many types of projects <br />are eligible for funding. <br />AFMN has special interest in projects supporting Tribes; applicants from diverse racial, ethnic, and <br />cultural communities; and other groups identified by the AFMN Council (see Section F.1.A). <br />Applicants may apply for funding in up to two Funding Areas. Total requested amount should not <br />exceed eighty thousand dollars ($80,000). <br />Funding Area 1: Connected Communities, which includes: <br />Affordable Housing for the Lifespan <br />Multimodal Transportation Options <br />Public Spaces for All Ages and Seasons <br />Digital Engagement <br />Funding Area 2: Emergency Preparedness, Individual Rights and Safety, which <br />includes: <br />Inclusive Emergency Preparedness & Response <br />Elder Justice <br />Funding Area 3: Optimized Health and Longevity, which includes: <br />Integrated Care: Health, Services, and Social Supports <br />Support for Family, Friend & Neighbor Caregiving <br />Age-Friendly Healthcare Access <br />Well-Trained and Well-Compensated Direct Care Workforce <br />Funding Area 4: Economic Security and Vitality, which includes: <br />Affording Aging <br />Economic Contributions <br />D. Approaches <br />The following approaches are examples of the types of activities that may be supported through AFMN <br />Community Grants. The approaches may be applied to any and all Funding Areas.
