Date: October 28, 2024 Item: 20 <br />Presenter: Christine Lusian, City Clerk <br />Section: Public Hearing <br /> <br />Title: Alcohol License <br /> <br /> <br />1.Purpose: <br />The purpose of this action item is to approve an alcohol sales license application. <br /> <br />Public hearing provides the applicant and interested or impacted community members an <br />opportunity to make a comment, present information, voice concerns, and testify on the record <br />before the council votes on the decision. <br /> <br />Opportunity for community input (public hearing) is a part of the business licensing process <br />defined by city code for new alcohol establishments. <br />2.License Applicant(s): <br />Talavera Mexican Restaurant of 2160 Wayzata Blvd West has completed application requirements <br />for a new alcohol sales license (on-sale intoxicating liquor). <br /> <br />City approval and establishment insurance information will be shared with the state for <br />certification/approval and the license will authorize sales through December 31, 2025. <br />3.Staff Recommendation: <br />Allow comment and approve the license. <br />AGENDA ITEM <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />1) Open a public hearing to allow comments on this item. <br />2) Close the public hearing. <br />3) Approve the alcohol sales license. <br />193
