Rascop seconded, to employ Norm Taurus to serve <br />as Eurasian Water Milfoil Weed Control Project Manager. parttime <br />from March through December as provided in the Weed Control <br />Budget, position description, and employment agreement, <br />retroactive to 2/26/90. at $1.4.00 per hour. Motion carried <br />unanimou.sly. <br />b) 1990 Eurasian Water Milfoil Budget <br />Ree.se moved. Rascop seconded, approval of the 1990 Eurasian <br />Water Milfoil budget in the amount of $225,000 as submitted. <br />This budget does not include equipment purchases from the Milfoil <br />Reserve Fund. Motion carried unanimously. <br />c) Equipment Purchase - Conveyer <br />Boswinkel moved, Rascop seconded, authorization to purchase <br />a Model C-500 Floating Conveyer, 25’ length, from United Marino <br />International at $11,020. approving 1/3 advance deposit of <br />$3,673.34 with order. The equipment is required due to low <br />water at off-lo.ad sites. Motion carried unanimously. <br />d) AddltJuiia.I Equipment <br />Reese .submitted a li.st of equipment needed for the pM <br />pro.iect and requested apprwal to proceed with obtaining <br />competitive pricing. . <br />Reese moved, Boswinkel .seconded, authorisation to obtain <br />pricing information for final Board approval on the items listed <br />3/27/9U, changing item 7 to read "Distance measuring unit and <br />depth finder", funding to come from the Milfoil Reserve Funds.. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />e) Space Needs <br />The Exe. utive Director reported there is a need for apace <br />for the EWM project staff and equipment at an estimated cost of <br />$175 per month, on a short term basis. „ <br />Rascop move!. Lewman seconded, to authorize the Executive <br />Director to locate space to nieoc the needs of the EWM project. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />5. C. 4) ADVISORY COMMITTEE, Chair Rascop <br />a) Rascop reported the 60 day period for comments on the <br />Comprehensive Plan lublic Review Draft will begin April 19. The <br />Plan is being di.stributed to all concerned parties. It is <br />important to present this to the Board member’s respective City <br />Councils.
