Gerhardson, Public Works Director <br />DATS: March 22, 1990 <br />SUBJECT: Public Hearing Community Development Block Grant Year <br />XVI <br />On February 26, 1990 the Orono Council designated March 26, <br />1990, 7:00 p.m. as the date and time to receive citizen input <br />regarding the allocation of Block Grant funds for Year XVI. <br />For Year XVI the City of Orono will receive an estimated <br />$23,412.00. <br />Since the Public Hearing notice in the paper we have <br />received requests for monies from two additional community <br />service organizations. Westonka Community Action Network and <br />Interfaith Outreach and Community Partners. <br />According to guidlines set by HUD the City can allocate 15% <br />of the total grant amount to Community Service Organizations (15% <br />of $23,412.00 « $3,511.80) that are approved by HUD. <br />The following organizations have requested funding and are <br />approved. <br />Westonka Intervention <br />Westonka Community Action <br />Interfaith Outreach and Community Partners <br />RecoMendatlon to adopt Resolution # <br />Community Development Block Grant funds as follows: <br />allocating Year XVI <br />Housing Rehabilitation <br />Westonka Intervention <br />Westonka Community Action <br />Interfaith Outreach <br />$20,412.00 <br />1,000.00 <br />1,000.00 <br />1,000.00 <br />$23,412.00 <br />Proposed Motion _ _Moved, _Seconded, to adopt Resolution #_ _ <br />allocation Year XVI Community Development Block Grnat funds as <br />follows: <br />Housing Rehabilitation <br />Westonka Intervention <br />Westonka Community Action <br />Interfaith Outreach <br />$20,412.00 <br />1,000.00 <br />1,000.00 <br />1,000.00 <br />$23,412.00
