As part of our commitment to comprehensive prosecution services, we are available to <br />draft policy memoranda, review police policies, analyze policy changes, and provide updates on legislative <br />changes dealing with mandated policies. <br /> <br />Code Enforcement. We prosecute code violations for all of our prosecution clients and many of our civil <br />clients. To accomplish compliance with city code provisions and city regulations, we emphasize <br />communication with City staff and the development and implementation of a well -planned enforcement <br />strategy that establishes deadlines and ensures timely follow -up by staff. <br /> <br />Criminal Appeals. Campbell Knutson provides an experienced appellate practice team. We have argued <br />and won many cases before the Minnesota Court of Appeals and Supreme Court. Alina Schwartz is our <br />primary criminal appellate attorney. Alina has an outstanding record of success in dozens of cases. <br /> <br />Contract and Agreement Drafting. Campbell Knutson has drafted and reviewed all types of agreements, <br />contracts, and policies related to criminal matters. In responding to a document drafting or review request, <br />our attorneys will draw on the firm’s expansive documents database to efficiently and effectively produce a <br />quality product. <br /> <br />Ordinance Drafting. We routinely assist our clients in drafting and implementing criminal ordinances. <br />We take a proactive approach toward ordinance review and drafting. More than almost any other area, <br />ordinance drafting can transform a seemingly insignificant word or phrase into a major unforeseen problem. <br /> <br />Data Practices. Our attorneys will assist all the police department in responding to data practices requests <br />and issues. We continually monitor statutory changes in the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act and <br />review the administrative opinions on data practices issues. <br /> <br />Vehicle Forfeitures. The firm has successfully handled thousands of vehicle forfeitures.
