CITY OF ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. 7514 <br />A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A DONATION OF MONEY <br />WHEREAS, the city of Orono is authorized by Minn. Stat. 465.03 to accept donations of real <br />and personal property for the benefit of its citizens and is specifically authorized to accept gifts; <br />WHEREAS, the following Johnson Family has offered to donate $710.00 to City of Orono for <br />the purchase of a flag; <br />WHEREAS, this donation is for the use by the City of Orono to purchase a flag; <br />WHEREAS, the donation is for the benefit of Orono residents; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is appropriate to accept the donation. <br />NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Orono City Council gratefully accepts <br />donated monies to purchase a flag to be used by the City of Orono. <br />FURTHER, staff will issue a letter to the donor acknowledging receipt of the donation and <br />expressing appreciation. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting held on <br />October 14, 2024. <br />ATTEST:CITY OF ORONO <br />_____________________________________________________________________ <br />Christine Lusian, City Clerk Dennis Walsh, Mayor <br />194
