Minutes <br />Planning Commission Regular Meeting <br />Monday, September 16, 2024, 6:00 PM <br />City Council Chambers 2780 Kelley Parkway, Orono, MN 55356 <br /> <br /> <br />Page 3 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />Chair Bollis closed the public hearing at 7:13 p.m. <br /> <br />Commissioners asked about noise during the reclamation process and pollution from the lead. Because of <br />the poisonous nature of lead, they urged the remediation to be done as thoroughly and carefully as <br />possible. They expressed concern about noise pollution for the neighbors. The applicant said it would be <br />no more noisy than construction and the ordinance for work times would be respected. <br /> <br />Bollis moved, Schultze seconded, to approve LA24-000045, 3660 6th Avenue N, Interim Use Permit <br />as applied with the condition that if there are noise complaints it can be brought back to the City <br />Council or Planning Commission. VOTE: Ayes: 6, Nays 0. <br /> <br />6. OTHER ITEMS <br /> <br />Community Development Director Oakden reported on actions taken by the City Council on planning <br />items at recent meetings. She said she had received the resignation of Commissioner Libby as he will be <br />moving and thanked him for his service. <br /> <br />7. ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Libby moved, Erickson seconded, to adjourn the Planning Commission Meeting at 7:23 p.m. to <br />October 21, 2024.
