Based on that study and the reasoning set forth <br />herein, we recommend that new Ordinances and Fee Schedule be <br />adopted in the form of Exhibits A and B attached to this <br />memorandum. <br />Adoption of the new Fee Schedule and Ordinances would <br />accomplish the following: <br />1. Bring Orono's Park Dedication Fee Schedule and <br />Ordinances in conformity with that of similar: Minnesota <br />communities.' <br />2. "'' Raise the Park Dedication Fee to a level consistent <br />with that levied by other communities and provide an automatic <br />adjustment for inflation (since it is tied to a percentage of <br />the value of the land being subdivided). <br />3. Provide more adequate funding for parks, playgrounds, <br />trails and open space as our community is subjected to <br />inevitable development pressures.
