However* as one of the residents indicated at the last meeting* the City sewer makes your home much more marketable. Additionally* there are some properties* and perhaps yours is one of them* that «fould have to revert to a holding tank system if your septic system fails. This would in the long run be more expensive than installation of city sewer.While the installation of city sewer represents a permanent solution to the problems experienced in the Stubbs Bay area* as is the case in other areas* the neighborhood is going to have to make the decision whether they want sewer or not.The City will make continued efforts to make the project more economically viable through design* and address individual considerations to protect property as much as possible.
