If an organization uses a label or listing to indicate <br />compliance with particular standards, the label or listing <br />will be acceptaoie evidence, unless otherwise specified in <br />the individual sections. In lieu of the label or listing, <br />the Contractor shall submit a certificate from an independent <br />testing organization, which is competent to perform acceptable <br />test. The certificate shall state that the item has been <br />tested in accordance with the specified organization's test <br />methods and that the item conforms to the specified organiza­ <br />tion's standard. For materials and equipment whose compliance <br />with organizational standards or specifications is not regu­ <br />lated by an organization using its own listing or la.nel as <br />proof of compliance, a certificate of compliance fro... the <br />manufacturer shall be submitted for anoroval. The certifi- <br />cate shall identify the manufacturer, the product, and the <br />referenced standard and shall si.mpiy state that the manufac­ <br />turer certifies that the product conforms to all requirements <br />of the project specification and of the referenced standards <br />listed. <br />E. Certified Test Reports: Before delivery of materials and <br />equipment, certified copies of all test reports specified <br />in the individual sections shall be submitted for approval. <br />F. Certificates of Conformance or Compliance: Submit certifi­ <br />cation from the manufacturer attesting that materials and <br />equipment to be furnished for this project comply with the <br />requirements of this specification and of the reference publi­ <br />cations. Preprinted certifications will not be acceptable; <br />certifications shall be in the original. The certification <br />shall not contain statements that could be interpreted to <br />imply that the product does not meet all requirements spe­ <br />cified, such as "as good as"' "achieve the same end use and <br />results as materials formulated in accordance with the re­ <br />ferenced publications"; "equal or e.xceed the service and <br />performance of the specified material". The certification <br />shall simply state that the product conforms to the require­ <br />ments specified. <br />?.J\RT 3 - EXECUTION' <br />3.01 INTERPRET.ATION OF PL.ANS <br />A. In general, the drawings of the mechanical systems and equip­ <br />ment are to scale. However, to determine e.xact locations <br />of walls and partitions, the Contractor should consult t.he <br />archi,tectural and/or structural drawings which are dimensioned. <br />Drawings shall not taKe precedence over field measurements. <br />B. Plans of piping and ductwork, although shown on scale drawings, <br />are diagrammatic only. They are intended to indirate size <br />and/or capacity where stipulated, approximate location and/or <br />direction, and approximate general arrangement of construction. <br />If it is found, before installation of any or all construction <br />phases, thac a more convenient, suitable or workable arrange­ <br />ment of any or all phases of the project would result by <br />varying or altering the arrangement indicated on the drawings, <br />the Architect/Engineer may require the Contractor to change
