Acceptable manufacturers are <br />Powell, Crane, Lunkenheimer, Hammond, Stockham, Sarco, Jenkins, <br />Nibco-Scott, DeZurik, Victaulic and Center Line. The Con­ <br />tractor is requested to standardize on one make as much as <br />practical but not to the extent of sacrificing gualitv <br />listed. <br />®*11 valves may be used for balancing valve when equipped <br />with balancing stops. <br />Ball valves installed in insulated piping shall have 1-1/4" <br />extended seams. <br />Provide positive dead end shut-off valves at all pieces of <br />equipment. The valve shall be individually supported so <br />that equipment can be removed and piping system can remain <br />unstressed and in operation. <br />NATURAL GAS <br />Gas shut off valves 2" and smaller shall be bronze body ball <br />valves, full port pattern, reinforced polytetrafluoethylene <br />(PTFE) seals, threaded ends and PTFE seats. <br />Gas shut-off valves, sizes 2-1/2" and larger shall be steel <br />body ball valves, flanged ends or flameless short pattern <br />body of configuration for installation between two 150 pounds <br />ANSI flanges. Seats shall be PTFE. <br />2.03 DRAIN VALVES <br />Drain valves for hydronic systems and well water systems, <br />at risers and low points of mains shall be bronze body gate <br />valve, 3/4" threaded inlet, 3/4" hose end outlet.. <br />COIL ‘AIR VENTS AND CONDENSATE SAMPLING COCKS <br />Valve shall be 1/2" bronze body short pattern 125# <br />Fig. 730 or Powell 757 or equal.Crane <br />2.05 WELL WATER SERVICE <br />A.
