a <br />LMCD Board of Directors December 6, 1909 <br />6. Unfinished Business. <br />A. The Comprehensive Management Plan/Shoreland Contract was <br />covered under the Chair’s report. <br />7. New Business <br />A. Designation of official newspaper <br />Pillsbury moved, Rascop seconded, to re-appoint the <br />three newspapers now serving the District as official newspaper <br />in 1990. <br />LeFevere suggested the Board select one paper as the <br />official newspaper so an official publication date can be <br />ascertained, using the other newspapers for publication as often <br />as possible. <br />Pillsbury and Rascop withdrew their motion. <br />Reese moved, Cochi'an seconded, to designate THE SAILOR <br />as the official newspaper and to encourage the staff to publish <br />legal notices in the other newspapers whenever possible. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />B. Conibbee Assignments <br />for 1990. <br />The Board received th<_- Committee Roster and assignments <br />C. 1990 Board Calendar <br />Cochran moved, Pillsbury seconded, approval of the 1990 <br />calendar, changing the Advisory Committee meeting date to January <br />17. The annual Recognition Dinner is scheduled for its <br />traditional month of February, the 15th. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />D. Oath Of Office <br />LeFevere administered the oath of office to <br />Boswinkel. He was seated as Secretary. <br />Jan <br />E. Rascop introduced a discussion of the exclusion of <br />wetlands in counting the 1:50 shoreline density rule for <br />watercraft. <br />LeFevere noted this exclusion will not exclude building a <br />dock over the wetlands. <br />Rascop moved, Grathwol seconded, to direct the attorney to <br />draft a change to Ordinance 2.02, shoreland requirements, to <br />prohibit wetlands being counted in the 1:50 general rule. Motion <br />carried, Reese voting nay.
