Proposed 1990 Legislative PoliciesINTRODUCTION - Annually the Council adopts policies of particulsar note of several levels of government with which they deal.DISCUSSION - The following policies were deleted from the 1989 <br />policy for 1990. <br />Truth in Taxation - Modification made <br />Police Pursuit - Law adopted <br />Policy's additions were as follows: <br />Land Use Legislation <br />Drug Enforcement <br />Well "Regulations" <br />At the present time staff will be looking again at active <br />participation in the area of the property owner initiated <br />annexation. <br />Once adopted these will be transmitted to Senator Gen Olson and <br />Representative John Burger. <br />ALTERNATIVES - <br />1. Adopt. <br />2. Amend and adopt. <br />3. Table for further discussion. <br />4. Take no action. <br />RECOMMENDATION - It is recommended that following a discussion <br />and desired amendment that the policy be adopted. The session <br />this year will be only six weeks and it is anticipated that <br />financial short-falls and the abortion issue will take up a <br />considerable amount of the Legislator's short time. <br />_, seconded by _, that the Council <br />as it legislative policies for 1990.
