Motion carried. <br />4. FINANCIAL REPORTS, Treasurer Boswinkel <br />The Board received the Statement of Cash Transactions for <br />the month ending 9/30/91 and the third quarter financial report <br />ending 9/30/91 and ordered them filed. <br />Foster moved, Babcock seconded, to approve payment of <br />in the amount of $38,387.77, Checks 8185 through 8235. <br />carried. <br />bills <br />Motion <br />r <br />■> <br />5. EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR REPORT. Strommen <br />A. Strommen reported bids are being taken for a second <br />computer. He estimates the cost will be less than the first <br />computer system, and under the $2,000 equipment budget. <br />B. The Metropolitan Council needs an e.xtension of the <br />review period for an additional 45 days beyond the November 4 <br />extension deadline. <br />Hurr moved, Foster seconded, to extend the dates for the <br />Metropolitan Council review of the Management Plan for Lake <br />Minnetonka for an additional 45 days, from 11/4/91 to 12/16/91 in <br />order to accommodate the final di'aft review. Motion carried. <br />OMFINISHED BUSINESS <br />1. Conflict of Interest Policy Statement <br />Hurr moved, Foster seconded, to table the conflict of <br />interest policy statement back to the committee, and then bring <br />it back to the Board at the December meeting. Boswinkel <br />questioned the purpose of bringing the statement back to the <br />committee. Hurr responded that she wants more input from those <br />p0QpiQ who were advisors to the committee. Boswinkel pointed out <br />that the people who were advisors to the committee were the ones <br />who put the statement together. Boswinkel stating he was one of <br />^hoDi • <br />Foster withdrew his second, Babcock seconded the motion <br />upon Foster’s withdrawal. The motion carried with Markus, <br />Boswinkel, Slocum and Foster voting nay. ^ <br />Boswinkel asked for further clarification of Hurr s <br />objection to the statement. She responded that the statement in <br />her opinion does not adequately reflect the input of those <br />people who were asked to advise the committee. <br />f.-,
