1967 <br />1966 <br />09/69 <br />09/06/69 <br />11/10/69 <br />12/15/69 <br />03/02/70 <br />03/70 <br />06/31/70 <br />1/19/74 <br />01/03/64 <br />I* <br />CHRONOLOGY OF CSAH 15 FROM CSAH 110 TO HILLSIDE DRIVE <br />A survey was taken on CSAH 15 just east of CSAH 125 which included eastbound <br />traffic only. Approximately 1,000 questionaires were distributed. The <br />drivers were asked questions such as home address, trip origin and <br />destination, purpose of trip, was it daily, and their preference as to which <br />route should be upgraded. Four hundred seventy responded, and 325 of those <br />responses recommended the upgrading of CSAH 15. <br />Special meeting was conducted by Hennepin County with Orono to discuss CSAH <br />15 plans. It was Indicated that 7,500 vehicles per day warranted a four <br />lane roadway. <br />Representatives from Orono agreed with Hennepin County’s proposed <br />construction program and will consider and respond to the 1969 proposed <br />Improvement of CSAH 15 from CSAH 110 to CSAH 19. <br />Spring Park and Hound meet with Hennepin County to discuss the proposed <br />construction of CSAH 15 as a four lane roadway. <br />Orono adopted a resolution that directed Hennepin County to abandon plans <br />for a four lane roadway from Hound to Navarre and Navarre to Excelsior on <br />CSAH 19. The resolution recommended that Hennepin County should develop <br />plans to upgrade CSAH’s 110, 44 and 92. <br />Minnetonka Beach adopted a resolution to abandon plans for a four lane <br />highway on CSAH 15 from Hound to Navarre and Navarre to Excel sioi. <br />A Public Meeting was conducted by Hennepin County to discuss the Hennepin <br />County highway planning In the Lake Minnetonka area. Various exhibits on <br />traffic volumes were shown and It was indicated that tr volumes on CSAH 15 <br />from CSAH 110 to CSAH 19 warrant a four lane ro'/. <br />Spring Park adopted a resolution that supports a 51 foot r"ad with the <br />condition that a bypass at Seton Channel Bridge is constructed. <br />Memo from Art Lee to Herb Klossner and Joe Klemenhagen regarding meeting <br />with representatives of the Villages of Orono. Spring Park. Minnetrista and <br />the city of Mound to discuss a possible approach to transportation planning <br />In the Lake Minnetonka area. It is indicated that the villages’ support the <br />premise that It Is possible to divert traffic from CSAH 15 by providing a <br />ring route access to TH No. 12. <br />Spring Park and Mound adopt a resolution that recommend-s Hennepin County to <br />Improve CSAH 15 from Spring Park’s easterly border to CSAH llO by <br />constructing a modern commercial type road 44 feet in width with curb, <br />gutters, bike paths and sidewalk the entire le "th of the p-oject. <br />Spring Park passed a resolution setting minimum needs for the .uprovemcnt of <br />CSAH 15. The needs are: <br />1. <br />2. <br />3. <br />4. <br />Two lanes of continuous traffic. <br />Concrete sioewalks and concrete curb and gutter <br />Right and left turn lanes where needed. <br />Improvements within the existing County right of way
