, <br /> � O 'Y � <br /> , O CITY of ORONO <br /> � <br /> �� <br /> � � •- ;' � RESOLUTION OF 61-��I�lf COUNCIL <br /> �- �� <br /> �� ��,'�'� NO. 3 � <br /> �kESHO�' <br /> A RESOLUTION <br /> GRANTING VARIANCES <br /> FROM ORONO MUNICIPAL CODE <br /> SECTIONS 78-1435, 78-1439, 78-1685, and 78-1700 <br /> FILE NO. 13-3618 <br /> WHEREAS, Edward A. Lagerstrom and Julie L. Lagerstrom, a married <br /> couple, (hereinafter"Applicants") are the owners of the property located at 2248 Shadywood <br /> . Road within the City of Orono (hereinafter "City") and legally described as: Lot 7, Block 1, <br /> "Wiley's Park" Lake Minnetonka, Hennepin County, Minnesota (hereinafter "the Property"); <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the Applicants have made application to the City for variances <br /> from Orono Code Sections 78-1435 and 78-1439 in order to construct a detached garage <br /> with overhead doors facing the street, 20 feet from the rear lot line where a 30-foot setback is <br /> required; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Applicants have made application to the City for a vairance <br /> from Orono City Code Section 78-1685 to allow constrcution of the detached garage <br /> resulting in 15.4% structural coverage, 66 square feet over the allowed 15% structural <br /> coverage levef; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Applicants have also made application to the City for <br /> variances from Orono City Code Section 78-1700 to allow 3,785.4 square feet (26.1%) <br /> hardcover where 3,616.7 square feet (25%) is permitted and 3,193.7 square feet (22.1%) <br /> currently exists in conjunction with construction of the proposed detached garage, stair and <br /> driveway; and <br /> WHEREAS, after due published notice and mailed notice in accordance with <br /> Minnesota Statutes and the Orono, Minnesota, City Code, the Orono Planning Commission <br /> held public hearings on August 19, and September 16, 2013, at which times all persons <br /> desiring to be heard concerning this application were given the opportunity to speak thereon. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br /> Minnesota: <br /> FINDINGS <br /> 1. This application was reviewed as Zoning File#13-3618. <br /> � <br /> 2. The Property is located in the LR-1 C zoning district, where 0.5 acres is the <br /> Page 1 of 5 <br />
