Deicing applications <br />Thibault referred the coniniitteo to a handout listing the <br />deicing applications, noting that one additional new <br />application not on the list had come in. Two new aeicing <br />applicants are: Excelsior Park Charters, at Excelsior Park <br />Tavern multiple dock, to deice around the charter boat; Greg <br />Malik, 4908 Three Points Blvd., Mound, Jennings Bay, <br />permanent dock. There are two renewal applications: <br />Minnetonka Yacht Club, at Carsons Bay and Rockvam Boat Yards, <br />Site 1 and 2 combined. <br />Hurr and Reese commented that Malik has rented boats at <br />hia dock. There was concern that he had more watercraft that <br />authorized at his dock, possibly requiring a multiple dock <br />license. ^ • <br />Hurr moved, Reese seconded, to table Malik s application <br />for further staff investigation as to whether a multiple dock <br />application was required. <br />Motion carried. <br />Grathwol moved, Pillsbury seconded to approve the new <br />application for Excelsior Park Charters, and the renewal <br />applications for Minnetonka Yacht Club and Rockvam Boat Yard <br />combined site 1 and 2. <br />Motion carried. <br />8. White Bear Lake Conservation District s policy regarding <br />styrofoam in docks <br />Grathwol advised from staff inquiry that rhe White Bear <br />Lake Conservation District has no specific ordinances against <br />Styrofoam in dock construction, however they have a policy <br />that it not be used. There has been voluntary cooperation <br />with this policy. <br />There was a question regarding a report that Orono <br />council member Gabriel Jabbour had offered to find out more <br />about styrofoam.
