Grathwol confirmed that personal <br />have heen incl** .d and counted in the number of <br />restricted w.jtercraft unle stored on land away from the <br />lake. <br />Germanson asked whether personal watercraft stored along <br />the shore would count as restricted. Grathwol advised that <br />if the personal watercraft were stored above the 929.4 <br />elevation, they would not count. <br />4. Policies & Procedures subcommittee report <br />is report was postponed because Chair Babcock was not <br />present. <br />5. Petition proposal to the Minnehaha Creek Watershed <br />District (KCWD) <br />Grathwol advised that staff received a communication <br />from the MCWD that because of changes in the laws, the LKCD <br />no longer is authorized to petition the MCWD. <br />Grathwol moved, Rascop seconded, to recommend that the <br />Board, by letter, petition a proposal to MCWD to initiate the <br />uppar watershed improvement project for Long Lake Creek. <br />Motion carried. <br />Grathwol confirmed there will be no cost to the LMCD. <br />Proposed Code Amendment regarding High Intensity Lights <br />Reese explained that the number of high intensity lights <br />at lakeshore sites has increased around the lake. The <br />has a proposal for an amendment that sites seeking <br />to install such a light will need to apply for a license from <br />the LMCD, so the applicant can be advised as to the type of <br />lighting that would be acceptable. <br />Hurr moved, Pillsbury seconded to recommend the <br />amendment to Section 2.03, adding Sites from Which <br />Artificial Lights Ar- Directed at tlie Lake" and the sentence, <br />"No person may locate, construct, install or maintain a dock <br />at any site on the Lake from which an affixed, unshielded, <br />artificial light is directed at any part of the Lake beyond <br />the dock use area for that site unless licensed by the Board
