■1^ <br />4:; <br />LMCD Board of Directors September 25, 1991 <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />1. Conflict of Interest Policy <br />The Board received a proposed conflict of interest policy <br />statement from the subcommittee appointed by the Board to develop <br />the policy. <br />Grathwol moved, Hurr seconded, approval of the Conflict of <br />Interest Policy Statement with items 2) and 3) to be changed by <br />adding “To/” at the beginning of each sentence. <br />Slocum said the change in wording changes the meaning. <br />lioFevere said that adding the word "To goes beyond the intent of <br />the committee. <br />Hurr moved, Grathwol seconded, to table the discussion. <br />Motion carried, Cochran voting nay. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Grathwol presented the Nominating Committee nominations for <br />the LMCD 1991-1992 officers. <br />Grathwol presented the name of David Cochran for the office <br />of Chair. There were no nominations from the floor. <br />Pillsbury moved, Foster seconded, that nominations be <br />closed. Motion carried. <br />Grathwol declared Cochran elected Chair of the LMCD Board of <br />Directors for the 1991-1992 term. <br />Jonothan White, reporter for THE WEEKLY NEWS, asked about a <br />report that the City of Greenwood will not re-appoint Cochran. <br />Cochran said the city has changed its position and re-appointed <br />him. ^ _ <br />Grathwol presented the names of Bert Foster and Thomas Reese <br />for the office of Vice Chair. There were no nominations from the <br />floor. . ^ u ..Reese spoke on his behalf as a nominee, asking for the votes <br />of the Board members. <br />Foster also offered comments on his behalf, asking for the <br />support of the Board members. <br />Ballots were distributed to the members. LeFevere and <br />Recording Secretary Weidner served as tally clerks. Upon <br />counting the ballots, LeFevere declared Reese the recipient of <br />the majority of the votes. Grathwol declared Reese elected Vice <br />Chair of the LMCD for the 1991-1992 term. <br />Grathwol submitted the name of Douglas Babcock for the <br />office of Secretary. There were no nominations from the floor. <br />Pillsbury moved, Bjorlin seconded, to close nominations. <br />Grathwol declared Douglas B^nbcock elected Secretary of the LMCD <br />for the 1991-1992 term. <br />Grathwol submitted the name of Jan Boswinkel tor the office <br />of Treasurer. There were no nominations from the floor. <br />Martinson moved, Pillsbury seconded, to close nominations. <br />Grathwol declared Jan Boswinkel elected Treasurer of the LMCD for <br />the 1991-1992 term. <br />Pillsbury and Bjorlin were excused at this time. <br />i....
