K
provides a sump area for surface water for the property and the
neighborhood.
The property owner has installed a catchment system for all
roof top surface water drainage. This catchment system connects
all downspouts to a six inch diameter perforated tubing. The
tubing is looped down several feet below the surface and then
rises, creating a storage basin from which surface water migrates
into and is absorbed by the soil in much the same way as a
drainfield absorbs sewer effluent. There is presently installed
on the property approximately 250-300 feet of six inch perforated
tubing, creating a storage basin for a substantial po'»'tion of
roof top drainage.
The property owner will remove landscaping cloth and plastic
from landscaped areas, as necessary to meet city specifications
and reduce hardcover as defined by the ordinance.
