Hennepin County Sheriff’s Water Patrol Report: <br />Sgt. Chandler reported as follows: <br />* On 6/22 Sheriff's Deputies saved the life of <br />attack victim with CPR. This occurred at the Noerenberg <br />Boat House and the patient has recovered. <br />* On 7/13 an 18 month old child accidentally <br />In Cook’s Bay. There are no criminal charges. <br />* On 7/14 there was a near drowning in Jennings Bay. <br />Deputies resuscitated the individual with CPR. <br />* Thirty-nine BWI's have been issued to date. This is <br />less than last year at this time. It is noted throughout the <br />state that boaters ar« using the designated boat operator who <br />does not drink. Chandler said the change in the law allowing <br />consultation with an attorney before administrating a breath teat <br />has not had any impact. <br />* The Water Patrol continues decibel testing. <br />* There has been an increase in thefts from boats. <br />One detective has been assigned to Lake Minnetonka. There is <br />cooperation with the local police departments. <br />* Deputy Brad Erickson has been transferred to <br />narcotics effective 8/12. His position has been filled effective <br />8/12 by Jim Ross, currently with the radio division. <br />« There were no accidents this past week. <br />Martinson arrived. <br />2.
