% < <br />k <br />w1^* VMp *BOARD^DATE <br />^ard <br />Representatives <br />• TIES (Total Information Educational Systern)-Ma”y Smith <br />• Wayzata Area Public Schools Foundation-Ken Hopkins <br />Compensation for <br />Board Members <br />A monthly compensation rate of $200 for re^lar meetings <br />and work sessions and $50 for each additional special meeting was <br />approved. <br />OfBcial Designations Faegre & Benson was designated as the official attorney for the <br />1991-92 academic year. <br />Official newspapers of the District will lx* the Sailor and the Weekly <br />WCCQ-AM (830) will be the ofTicial radio station for emergency <br />announcements during the school year. <br />Board ProfeBsional <br />Memberships <br />The Board approved membership in the following professional <br />organizations: Minnesota School Boards Association, National <br />School Boards Association, Association of Metropolitan School <br />Districts, Educational Cooperative Service Unit, Minnesota Academic <br />Excellence League. National Schixtl Public Relations Association, <br />Northwest Suburban Chamber of Commerce, TwinWest Chamber of <br />Commerce, and Wayzata Chamber of Commerce. <br />Participation in <br />Minnesota State High <br />School League <br />The Board approved RESOLUTION FOR MEMBERSHIP IN THE <br />MINNESOTA STATE HIGH SCHOOL LEAGUE for 1991-92. <br />orsi)The Board authorized pavanent of $11,828 for 1991-92 fees for <br />continued participation in the Organization of Intervening School <br />Districts. Future participation in OISD activities will require pnor <br />Board approval. Paul Landry is the Board representative to OISD <br />and has kept the Board up to date on activities relating to the school <br />finance lawsuit. <br />The meetinf adjourned at 9:27 p.m <br />The Board will next meet on Monday, July 22, 1991, at the District Administration Building <br />in a work session.
