[ ’ i ^l <br />from : <br />subject; <br />Treasurer Jan Boswink el <br />1 992 l.MCD BUDGET <br />Your LMCD Board of Directors is pleased to enclose its 1992 <br />annual budget adopted at its regular meeting June 26.1991. <br />Advance copies of a preliminarv discussion budget draft were <br />submitted a month in advance to all municipaiitiesMay 31. <br />As a result of this advan<-e budget draft distribution, <br />municipal rnspoiise has been receiv.-d and given full <br />consideration. <br />Particular discussion centered over the future funding of the <br />Eurasian water milfoil weed control program and its budget. <br />The Board reconsidered its earlier position on private <br />contributions. It recognizes that income source as a <br />continuing potential. The reduction in city contributions is <br />being made up by private contributions. The board further <br />expects greater private contributions are available than <br />budgeted, but will hold them as potential back-up to any <br />other agency budgeted shortfall.It intends to make every <br />effort to secure the required agency financi.al backing, <br />particularly from Hennepin County. ^'N DNR and possib y other <br />new agencies.
