Oronc Municipal Zoning Code Section 10.02 is amended <br />to include the following definition; <br />Sign - Business - Temporary. A sign permitted for a limited <br />period of time used to advertise or promote the -nterests of <br />a single or multi-use commercial or industrial use. A <br />temporary sign may be attached to a principal structure or <br />detached. Such signage shall include mobile/message board <br />signs, banners and balloons that meet all applicable Federal <br />and State standards. <br />SECTION 2. Orono Municipal Zoning Code Section 10.61, Subdivision <br />1 (G) is hereby repealed and the following language substituted <br />in its places <br />G. Building Wall Signs. Signs shall not be painted <br />directly on the outside wall of the building. Signs shall not be <br />painted on a fence, rocks or similar structure or feature in any <br />district. Paper and similar signs shall not be permanently <br />attached directly to a building wall by an adhesive or similar <br />means (tef*porarv use of such signs is permitted per standards set <br />forth in SuboaraarapK H of this Section). Signs shall be <br />considered as a structure or fastened to another structure. <br />SECTION 3. Orono Municipal Zoning Code Section 10.61, <br />Subdivision 1 (H) is hereby repealed and the following language <br />substituted in its place: <br />H. Temporary Signs. There shall be no moro than 4 <br />temporary business signs issued per calendar year, and for a <br />period of not more than 10 days per time or of the duration of <br />the event promoted by the sign message, whichever is less. <br />sign (includes h^»««ers or balloons), sign supports, or portable <br />stand shall be removed from public view at the end of the period. <br />Total area of the sign shall not exceed 32 square feet per <br />surface (64 s.f. total signage allowed for 2 sided portable <br />sign).
