Charter boat inspections are underway. <br />♦ Th® diving tsam cl^Bned up thd Narrows channel of <br />sunken debris, the first time in history. ^ <br />♦ A new program on theft prevention from boats and <br />contents, similar to Crime Watch, is being initiated. <br />^ Chandler will speak to the State Conference on <br />Alcohol and Traffic on 4/25/91. He will address the experience <br />on Lake Minnetonka. <br />7. Other. <br />1. Guidelines for Use of Docks at Wayzata Depot <br />Rascop recommended including requirement for providing <br />parking when issuing charter boat licenses. LeFevere said the <br />registration of ports-of“call applies only to liquor licenses. <br />If it were to apply to all charter boats it would require a code <br />amendment. <br />2. Special Event Permits <br />There was a discussion of policy by the Board accepting <br />applications for action without committee approval. Cochran <br />acknowledged the two applications referred back to the committee <br />)f0i*Q received after the deadline. He also noted one is milfoil <br />fund related. The executive director pointed out the need for <br />the applicants to begin their promotions. LMCD does not know <br />what share of the fund it might receive from the Fresh Water <br />Foundation. He said both applicants have paid their fee and a <br />late fee was not charged, one being municipal, adding to an <br />existing permit, the other being a mutual LMCD benefit. <br />Carlson moved, Reese seconded, to approve the concept of the <br />Special Events pr* »ed by Freshwater Foundation for the JAB <br />with a Splash mil I fundraiser and the addition of the Bald <br />Eagle Water Ski Show wo the Mound City Days Special Event Permit, <br />stipulations to be presented at the Lake Use Committee in May. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />■. FINANCIAL REPORTS, Treasurer Boswinkel (By Strommen) <br />1. Reese moved, Cochran seconded, approval of the Statement <br />of Cash Transactions, month ending 3/31/91. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />2. Audit of Vouchers for Payment <br />Slocum moved, Carlson seconded, approval of the payment of <br />bills in the amount of $21,097.97, Checks No. 6789 - 6835 . <br />Motion carried unanimously.
