•% <br />Jr.1 <br />ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING HELD APRIL 22, 1991 <br />(#7)ZONING FILE #1637-SPRING HILL LAND COMPANY CONTINUED <br />by the City Attorney. <br />Bernhardson advised tiat t\e Pi.anning Com.'nission h-:.d <br />recominendtjd approval of this application. <br />Butler referred to a letter dated January 1991, signed <br />by riike Brady, that included language pertaining to an option for <br />the Woodridge Church to purchase the Conference Center property. <br />She asked if that is in fact an option. <br />Mabusth e.'iplained that the Woodridge Cnurch had initially <br />submitted a Conditional Uso Permit Appxrcation requesting the use <br />of this property. She stated that application was withdrawn <br />because Spring Hill Land Company is the owner, and therefore, the <br />appropriate applicant to make such a request. <br />Jud Dayton informed Council that there \s no option to <br />purchase available to Woodridge Cnurch and that the agreement <br />with the Church does not include that op.; on. <br />It was moved by Butler, seconded by Goetten, to adopt <br />Resolution #2956, granting a Conditional Use Permit to Spring <br />Hill Land Company to permit Woodridge Church to use portions of <br />their existing Conference Center. All voted aye. Motion passed. <br />At 8:02 p.m.. Mayor Peterson opened the Public Hearings for <br />Agenda Items #8 and #9. <br />(f8)ZOHIN6 FILE #1623-KEENAN RICHARDSON <br />2500 NOODHAVBN DRIVE <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT-RESOLUTION 12957 <br />Keenan and Jean Richardson were present. <br />Bernhardson explained that a similar Conditional Use Permit <br />request had been received and granted for Dr. Richardson's <br />neighbor, Kim Edwards, two yaars ago. He said, "The fill has <br />been hauled in and is presently located on Dr. Richardson's <br />property. It is my understanding that it has nat yet been spread <br />out aid leveled. There is a question about a penalty fae for the <br />after-the-fact nature of this application." <br />Callahan asked Gaffran to <br />involving Dr. Keenan's neighbor. <br />elaborate on the application <br />Gaffron explained that a significant amount of fill had been <br />hauled in for tha Edwards property in order to rair.e the level of <br />the ground. He said, "This neighborhood is very flat, and <br />drainage is slow. Some of the fill brought in by Dr. Richardson <br />will indeed h»nlp to protect his neighbors septic system.
