The recommendation was to install three 20 ’ light
poles at a cost of $5,995.00. The Council directed staff to revise the lighting plan to replace the 20'
poles with poles similar in height and style to the existing light poles. The revised plan now includes
four light poles of the same style and height as the existing light poles. Because the existing light
poles are more expensive than the poles in the original proposal, and because the number of poles
has increased from three to four, the cost of the project has increased from $5,995.00 to $9,595.00.
This cost also includes the installation of winter plug-in receptacles on the poles.
COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED:
Motion to approve the proposal by Frontier Electric for the purchase and installation of parking lot
lighting at a cost of $9,595.00.
