Land use regulations will be developed to provide <br />reasonable control over building density, land alteration and lakeshore encroachment." <br />Compliance with City Code Standards <br />As noted in the June 17 memo, the proposed 4-slip joint use dock meets the standards established <br />for such uses in Municipal Code Section 5.42, i.e. it results in no more than 1 boat slip per 50' of <br />shoreline as measured in a straight line, and does not require additional parking or new hardcover. <br />Further, thete will be no negative impacts on the adjacent land area which, although covered under <br />a wetland easement since 1979, does not have the characteristics of a wetland. <br />Staff Recommendation <br />Council should again review the June 17 staff memo and exhibits. Also review the written <br />comments of the applicant and neighboring prop :rty ow ners. Staff supports the application under <br />the conditions suggested by Council. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Receive public comments at the public hearing. Reach a conclusion on whether and under what <br />conditions a joint use dock license should be issued to Kelly Cove Homeow ners Association and <br />direct staff to draft an appropriate resolution for adoption at your next meeting. <br />i
