COUNCIL MEETING <br />Mayor and City Council <br />Ron Moorse, City Administrator <br />DATE: July 9,1998 <br />SUBJECT; Update Regarding Priority Projects and Timelines <br />JUL 1 3 1998 <br />CfTYOFORONO <br />-1 <br />Highway 12 Corridor Issues. <br />A. Vibr v.ion/Noise Study. <br />1) Finalize scope of services with study consultant by July 17. <br />2) Complete the study (if the study is done without vibration monitoring) by <br />August 30. <br />3) If the study includes vibration monitoring, the completion schedule is unclear <br />but will be substantially longer. <br />B. Stubbs Bay Road Closure, Cul-de-Sac, and Overlay. <br />1) A request for Mn^OT to accomplish this at its expense was sent to Mn®OT <br />in May. <br />2) Mn/DOT is supportive of the request. A response is expected m the near <br />future. <br />C. Water Resources (Stormwater Drainage) Study. <br />1) The ponding soiuUon at Washington Scientific Inc. (WSR <br />' soil tMting can be completed. The soil testing is being delayed due to WSl <br />not allowtag IvWDOT on the site. Mn®OT is also doing soil testing at the <br />west end of the cemetery property adjacent to the WSI property. <br />21 Long Lake wants MnA)OT to redirect all stormwater runoff from its <br />commercial/industrial area away from Long Lake to i^nds in^the of <br />Fleming Addition. Orono has expressed concern that sufficient pondmg <br />capacity needs to be provided to prevent flooding downstream, ^d to ensme <br />the quality of t’^e stormwater running to Lake Minnetonka remains at leas <br />current levels.
