DATE: <br />Mayor and City Council <br />Ron Moorse, City Administrator <br />June 29,1998 <br />JlIK' 2 9 1998 <br />C'TY Cf Onc^'.'j <br />SUBJECT: League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust to Defend Brook Park Realty Suit <br />Under the City's insurance with the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust (LMCIT), the <br />League will defend the City regarding the suit being brought against the City by Tonka Ventures <br />(Brook Park Realty). The LMCIT has assigned Jim Thompson of Kennedy and Graven to handle <br />the defense. The City has indicated it wants Tom Barrett to work closely with Jim Thompson in <br />developing the City's defense. Tom Barrett will attend this evening's special Council meeting so that <br />Council can meet in an executive session regarding the City's defense. <br />1
