r <br />A RESOLUTION AWARDING <br />THE CONTRACT FOR THE <br />installation of sanitary sewer IMPROVEMENTS <br />IN THE SHORELINE DRIVE, HERITAGE DRIVE AND <br />HERITAGE LANE AREAS <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the installation of sanitary <br />sewer improvements in the Shorline Drive, Heritage Drive and Heritage Lane improvement areas, <br />bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law; and <br />WHEREAS, it appears that G. L. Contracting, Inc., Medina, Minnesota is the <br />lowest responsible bidder. <br />Minnesota: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br />1.The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />construction contract with G. L. Contracting, Inc., Minneapolis, Minnesota, in the <br />name of the City of Orono for the installation of sanitary sewer improvements in <br />the Shoreline Drive, Heritage Drive and Heritage Lane areas according to the plans <br />and specifications therefor approved by the City Council and on file in the office <br />of the City Clerk in the amount of $279,194.07 which includes change order <br />number one. <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders <br />the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder <br />and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br />1998. <br />Adopted by the Orono City Council at a regular Council meeting held on June 29, <br />ATTEST: <br />Linda S.
