McMillan III, 1275 Lyman Avenue - Rural <br />Charles L. Schroeder, 1925 West Farm Road - Rural <br />Peter H. Rennebohm, 4565 Bayside Road - Rural <br />David W. Rahn, 1134 Wildhurst Trail - Urban Lakeshore <br />Janice Berg, 2655 Lydiard Avenue - Urban Lakeshore <br />Attachment B was sent to all interested applicants as a basis for <br />their interviews. <br />Issue #3 - Role of Planning Commission - Attachment C outlines <br />the various options for use of the Planning Commission as an <br />advisory body with Attachment D defining their current role. <br />As you will note in Attachment B applicants have been asked to <br />address their thoughts on the matter. Jeanne Mabusth has also <br />requested the Planning Commission members address both their role <br />as currently conceived plus any revised role they feel <br />appropriate. These will be presented to Council on 3/25/91. <br />Additionally at Mayor Peterson’s request, staff is solicitating <br />Planning COTmission roles and responsibility descriptions from 12 <br />other cities representing a cross section of the Metro area. <br />Should Council desire a revised structure it may have an <br />influence on the appointments process. <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />1. Interview the applicants. <br />2. Select appointees to the Planning Commission. <br />3. Table for further discussion. <br />RECOMMENDATION - It is recommended that after Council interviews <br />the applicants they table appointment until the April 8, 1991 <br />Council meeting. <br />PROPOSED MOTION - Moved by _, seconded by _, that the Council <br />after having interviewed the applicants table further <br />consideration until the April 8, 1991 Council meeting.
