r!-' <br />SI.. <br />A RBSOLUTION GRAMTIIIG <br />A VARIAHCB TO <br />MUNICIPAL X0NIN6 CODE <br />SECTION 10.24, SUBDIVISION 5(B) <br />FILE #1622 <br />NHBBBAS, F. John Hardin (hereinafter "the applicant") is the <br />owner of the property located at 1496 ParJc Drive within the City of <br />Orono (hereinafter "City”) and legally described as follows: <br />Lota 4 and 5, Bloclc 14, Saga Rill Revised, Hennepin County, <br />Minnesota also conmencing at the Southwest corner of Lot 4, BlocJc <br />14, Saga Hill Revised, Hennepin County, Minnesota; thence South <br />to the Northeast corner of Lot 6, Bloclc 14; thence 54.4 feet East <br />to the West line of Lot 94, Highwood Lalce Minnetonlca; thence <br />North to the intersection with the Northerly line of Lot 4, Block <br />14 extended; thence Northwesterly to the point of beginning, <br />(hereinafter "the property"); and <br />WBBRBAS, the applicant has applied to the City for a <br />variance to Municipal Zoning Code Section 10.24, Subdivision 5(B) to <br />pernit the construction of room and porch additions to the existing <br />residence, such additions being located 28* from the front lot line <br />where a 35* front yard setback is normally required. <br />Minnesotai <br />NO«» THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br />FINDINGS <br />1. This application was reviewed as Zoning File #1622. <br />2. The property is located in the LR-IB Single Family Lakeshore <br />Residential Zoning District. <br />3. The Orono Planning Commission reviewed this application on <br />March 18 and 20, 1991, and recommended approval of the proposed <br />variance based upon the following findings: <br />a) The proposed variance will have no impact on the <br />neighborhood, and the proposed setback is not out of <br />character with other houses in the neighborhood. <br />b) The existing house was built prior to current Cods^ <br />requiring 35* front setback. <br />Page 1 of 4
