51^2-2-1 2-2-3 <br />CHAPTER 2 <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MAH 1 8 <br />4Q9‘*- <br />SECTION: <br />2-2-1 <br />2-2-2 <br />2-2-3 <br />2-2-4 <br />Commission Established <br />Initial Appointments <br />Criteria Adopted <br />Effective Date <br />2-2-1:COMMISSION ESTABLISHED: Under authority of M.S. 462.354 <br />there is hereby established an advisory Planning Commission to make <br />recommendations to the Council for the future development of land so as to insure <br />a safer, more pleasant and more economical environment for residential, commercial. <br />Industrial and public activities and to promote the public health, safety, morals and <br />general welfare. <br />2-2-2:INITIAL APPOINTMENTS: Initial appointments were made to <br />accomplish the rotation of overlapping terms described in Section <br />2-2-3(E) below. <br />2-2-3:CRITERIA ADOPTED: The following criteria are hereby adopted: <br />(A)Members; Officers: The Commission shall consist of five (5) members who <br />shall choose annually from among themselves a chairman and a <br />vice^hairman. <br />(B) <br />iC) <br />(D) <br />Designated Seats: All seats are undesignated. <br />Appointment: Members shall be appointed by the City Council. <br />Qualifications: Members shall be citizens of the United States and shall be <br />residents of the City. <br />I arfWA'wri a..
