Appointments Memo Dated 1/9/91 <br />ISSUE - Selection of an individual from either the Council or the <br />public to serve as member (s) to the Lake Minnetonka Cable <br />Commission. <br />INTRODUCTION - At the Council's January 14, 1991 Council meeting <br />appointments were made to most of the positions, however, three <br />of the positions that were not filled were those of the Cable <br />Commission. it was directed that this be tabled until <br />appointment of a new CounciImember. <br />DISCUSSION - Based on interest of current CounciImembers or that <br />of others the Council may have either interviewed or knows <br />generally might have an interest they may appoint two primaries <br />and one alternate that Orono is allowed under the joint franchise <br />agreement to have on the Board. <br />ALTERNATIVES - <br />1. Council indicate their interest in either serving as primaries <br />ur alternates. <br />2. Select to request others to fill in vacancies. <br />3. Table for further discussion. <br />RECOMMENDATION - It is recommended that persons on the Council <br />indicate interest they may have in this and that if others are <br />needed for the position, that staff be directed to inquire as to <br />their lavel of interest in service on the Commission and that it <br />be tabled until the Council's February 25, 1991 Council meeting. <br />PROPOSED MOTION <br />appoint <br />seconded by that the Council- Moved by _, _ <br />and to the Lake Minnetonka Cable Commission <br />foi 1991.
